Anyone use one of these? Pros/cons? Plenty of power but I’m getting pretty good sag on the rear independant suspension. For under $50 seems alot easier than a dolly.

We used to have one on our can am. But it made for a tougher ride. The dolly is much nicer. But that’s for us dragging about a mile to the lake and then a mile across the lake. The suspension lock is still a good tool and beats the 500 bucks if you only need to spend 50

I have mixed thoughts on them.

They certainly help you from overloading the suspension components, but you are still overloading your hubs and bearings.

The million dollar question is how much is too much, and if a short pull here or there will cause any excessive wear.

Frequent overloading will most definitely cause premature wear and failure of the wheel assembly components (I’ve seen it first hand with a straight axle ATV, which is essentially the same as an independent rear suspension with blocks).

100% that’s why went the dolly route

I had a Kolpin on my Can-Am Maverick. Took some custom brackets to get it mounted, but it worked like a charm. Bearcat is right, the ride is rough. If you only use the ATV for fishing in the winter, clamping in the bar is easy and you can leave it all winter. No fumbling with a dolly, finding a place to store it and remembering to bring it with…For me, it was by far the way to go.

Keep in mind that if you do any sort of intense trail riding or hard obstacles in the summer, I would remove the brackets on the arms. You WILL break or bend one…Ask me how i know…

I typically dont drive more than a few hundred yards and I also think that dealing with a dolly vs just having a bar on the bottom is excessive. $47 one day amazon seems worth a whirl.

Last night at 9:30 I saw amazon had a “used like new” koplin for $39 one day shipped. It arrived at 10am and I’ve been out since noon.

Works great and is exactly what I needed.

Install on the polaris is excellent (once you trim the brackets) and doesn’t need all the U brackets.
