I have a question for the guys and gals that use ATVs for snow removal. My blade edge is very worn right now and needs replacement. Have any of you used a poly blade edge instead of a steel edge? I have read positive and negative things about both and was wondering if anyone on here has an opinion.
I think the poly would be a smart choice on a fresh blacktop driveway. Otherwise I would stay with steel myself. My steel blade has been on my plow since 04.
Metal edge is great but you need a hardened edge not mild steel or it will wear out fast. Nylon blades wear well but heat is the enemy. Stick with the steel just get hardened.
Have been running the same steel blade on a cycle country plow for use on a gravel driveway since 1996 and I would go back to steel if it ever wears out.
