I go hunting up near Grand Rapids, MN every year.(grouse hunting). I have a small farm and some other land that a UTV would come in handy. My BIGGEST concern is weather or not a UTV will fit down the 4 wheeler trails to go hunting. I need some help guys. Anyone have a 60″ UTV Polaris or Can Am that they have a hard time getting down trails. I know the Soo Line is good and some of the snowmobile trails that open up are fine too, but the birds are down the less used trails. I also have a wife and a daughter who is 14 to think of and in TN, the UTV’s are allowed on any non-highway road.

The Decision is UTV: Polaris Ranger 900/1000 or a Can Am HD10
    OR
ATV: Can Am Outlander Max XT (two up)
    Polaris Sportsman Touring (two up).

Both machines you are looking at are over 60″. When I bought my Pioneer I was worried about some of the smaller trails around are cabin but I have been able to make it down almost all of them. Sometimes it takes a little maneuvering. Grant in aid trails are a different story with gates at 50″ or 65″

If you don’t need to go faster than 25 mph you could try a new Kawasaki Mule SX with EFI, they are about 50 inches wide
