ATV Hitch Adapter

Does anyone know about or make the Adapter for your ATV hitch like the one IDO guys used for the perch show in ND. It allows for the ball to stay but then can hook up your flip over hitch. Don’t want to take the ball on and off if I have to pull the trailer/shack onto the ice. Thanks

I prefer the non-flapper models. Eliminates the need for 2 sets of hands to hold the flapper up at hook up.

Any welder can make these in less than 5 minutes too…

Bought my straight one on EBay for $12. Fleet has the flip ones.

Go to Denniskirk.com and look up ATV hitches. I have one of the Kolpins. Put the ball in the front hole and use the back hole for your pin hitch.

This is what I think IDO used. Didn’t know what is was called, kind of hard to GOOGLE. Asked here since it was on IDO.

. They had those at Fleet last year, haven’t looked this year. I’m not following why the flip up is a benefit.?.? You can’t use the ball if it’s flipped, so why ever use the flip?

I don’t think the flip up really does anything rather that it is just hinged so it moves with the sled a bit. I had the solid curt style receiver linked above on my sportsman receiver for use with the clam tow bar and it worked great. My dad doesn’t ice fish and I got him the otter model for his older sportsman without a receiver and just a place to install a ball on the back bracket of the axle carrier on a solid axle. I think that set up actually works better for him with the pivot because he has various yard carts and small yard implements that are at different height and a hilly yard.
