Ash KaNam burns

    The bar & restaurant at the Ash KaNam resort burned to the ground yesterday morning. Cabins will be OK for those who have a vacation booked.

    Bad timing for a fire!

    Bummer! That is always a good stop on the “Trail”. Hope they can rebuild soon.

    They are converting part of the banquet center for the bar. I THINK (not sure) they are building a cabin on the old restaurant site.

    The biggest problem now is the lack of water in the river. I’ve seen a photo showing the canal at Ash Trail Lodge where the boat gas pump is.Bone dry. Couldn’t float a canoe in it.
    I’m going up Saturday and will get some currant info & photo’s.
