are they finally putting in the new launch by the 36/64 bridge?

was on the Croix last weekend and it looks like they’re doing a lot of earth-moving on the MN side, south of Sunnyside Marina. Are they actually putting in the new boat launch??

If I recall the last update I saw for that launch is it was “supposed” to be completed for the summer of 2024. Hopefully they do complete it this fall, the Croix needs another public launch in the area. Just hope it doesn’t have the same problems as the Hudson launch as of late.

What’s been the problem with the Hudson launch? Just curious- I never launch there.

I believe with the lower water some of the bigger boats are backing off the bottom of the ramp. Add in the power loading wash outs at the end of the ramp and some trailers have gotten hung up. Heard the tow truck has been down there and some trailers have been damaged.

Oof, no bueno. That would suck to have something like that happen, especially after a night of fishing!
