These will loop outside your 20* beam at any depth.

They look like old auger blades with a hook sodered to them

    Are those Finnish?

Not sure got this pair last year from an Estonian while getting skunked in a tournament. With 15 minutes left in turny I managed to get fourth to last place out of 250.
They sell them in small ziplocks bags at the store no name or make just the price on it.
And they are always sold out.
    Soo maybe Finnish.
I’m thinkin Russian or Estonian just by looking at the hook type, Finnish lures here have sweeeeet hooks on them.

Where’s the line tie on those? I didn’t spot anything obvious in the photo.

The lack of paint probably helps. My father-in-law likes to stick with the lures he makes out of copper – no paint, just polished. He says they work better than anything painted he has tried.

No, they’re still working on them.

There’s an old Ukrainian dude here in Rochester that fishes the Foster trout pond all year long using very simple metal baits he makes by hand from scratch and does amazingly well with them. I don’t think I have ever seen him with a tackle box or a minnow bucket or with a box of waxies. He casts that bait in the open water and jigs it thru the ice. Its a copper bait, no paint with a single hook. Makes a guy wonder if he’s not missing the boat by not playing in the garage more often.

Ha time we start thinking outside the box maybe the tingler spoons need a hole in the middle of the spoon. Time to go horizontal.
