Hey all, I’m heading up to the whitefish chain this weekend and was wondering if anyone has been chasing eyes in the Brainerd area. Not looking for spots, just a report of any depths or patterns you’ve noticed lately. Are the fish moving off the shallow water bite? I’m thinking bouncers and spinners this weekend maybe.
I picked up some eyes in that area with a scum frog at 2 am in 1-2 FOW. I can’t tell you about the day bite since I was musky fishing.
Picked a couple up on spinners last Saturday. I couldn’t say what the pattern actually is in regards to shallow. Unlike two weeks ago when all the little bait stealers were super shallow they were on the upper ends of the weeds (7-9). So I went to the outer edge just to save bait(13-16).
