I have been waiting for a sale to purchase a new Humminbird “Helix 7 GPS G3” unit but suddenly Cabela’s and Gander no longer have them on the website. I will use this for ice fishing and on my kayak so I really do not want a side or down imaging unit. I know I can buy an Ice pack but I will be putting this on a Marcum Shuttle.

I was just at Cabelas Woodbury and they had them, $699.00 Picked one up at Joes Sporting a week ago. They had them marked $599.00 so I scooped one up real quick. The next day they had them on sale for $699.00 same as everyone else. Either they had them priced wrong or I got a super deal. Also picked up a 6 inch Lite Flite auger got $149.00

That’s the kind of deal I was looking for, though yours is the “Ice Pack”.
I am looking for the summer unit that sells for $499.99 with an open water transducer. Then I would purchase an ice ducer for $99.99 and would put me at $600 regular price.

I’m sure the summer stuff is being put on the back burner to make room for the ice fishing inventory. If you find you have to spend $699 you may as well go the extra $100 and get the Helix Ice all season.

The Helix 7’s that don’t have si or di are pretty rare. The sweet spot in the market is the si version and sells the most units. That seems to be the one everyone buys and is on sale.

How do I know? Spent a few months looking for a deal on the gps only but with networking unit “Helix 7 GPS G3N”. Finally did it through Reeds in late August.
