Hello. I’m new to the forum. I’m shopping for a 17 1/2 to 19 ft fishing/family boat and want to learn whether 2021 Lund horizontal storage lids are waterproof or if they are properly drained with a drip trough on the lid frames to provide true dry storage? I don’t have any dealers with boats nearby to check my self. I’m also wondering whether the Lund boats ride better and drier than a Crestliner or Princecraft .I boat on Georgian Bay , Lake Huron , Parry Sound Ontario

My 2018 is dry on the bow storage unless we’re in a complete deluge I’ve seen some moisture get in but that was a crazy rainstorm. The port side storage for rods can get wet, don’t keep dry stuff in there. Aft storage under the jump seats is dry as a bone.

This is on a 2018 1775 Impact XS.

Ride is very dry, definitely not as smooth as fiberglass though. Nice and dry to be sure.

KPE and I have similar experiences. I have a 2019 Lund Impact.
I also use the live well up front as storage. The storage under the back jump seats is bone dry as well. Unless it is pouring they stay dry. THere is a drip trough incorporated into my storage lockers ( I believe KPE’s is the same design) On a boat there is not much that is waterproof but I have been pleased so far.
