The Yips!!!

In my shooting… I think I have it figured out. I seem to always hit an inch or two left. I move my sight left and I still hit the same. Now I find myself aiming a little right and I still hit the same spot. I was torquing my bow a little while aiming. If I open up my grip (left) hand, I shoot straighter. Any one else have a “yip” in their shooting? And what have you done to correct it?

Muscle memory, it’s most critical to be consistent. Before pounding bullseyes work on form. Head up, leg spacing, weight balanced, arms in line, steady back pressure, ease the trigger, and keep a open grip it reduces torque and is fare more constant. I hope this helps a little for you.

My biggest issue is torquing my grip. I get some pretty cruddy arrow flights when a I do it.

Always wear a glove on your grip hand when you shoot. It will help eliminate problems caused from hand torque.
