I went with a buddy to South 40 Archery in Lakeville last Saturday. I have shot indoor 3-d and targets. Yeah it’s fun but that was a whole new experience for me. I have been shooting for over 15 years but never done anything like that. I had a blast! Walking around and shooting at full size moose and Caribou was neat. It was well put together.

It had rained a significant amount and flooded out a few areas but that made it all the better for the first time out. After the shoot was over we ate some sloppy joes in the main office shack and yep that hit the spot.

It was well worth the 10 bucks and if you have never done anything like this you are missing out. I don’t live near Lakeville by any means but it was well worth the trip.

That sounds like it’s worth a drive. Thanks for posting this, I need to see it for myself.

Ya 3-d’s are alot of fun. Some courses are a better shoot them others but their all fun. The last one I went too down here had over a thousand guys go through before noon, 3-d shoots down this way are a big thing with some really good shots competing. Some of the clubs go all out and groom their trails and put wood chips down, water coolers at way points along the paths with cub, novice and experienced shooters stakes to score your cards with. Sometimes on a good shoot a 150 car parking lot is full at 9:00 AM. Lots of tournaments and trophies here and some serious shoots.
