I have been looking for about 6 months and just got a lump of cash for Christmas for a new bow. I have it narrowed down to 2 models. Any opinions?

I have yet to start shooting any of the new models so I can’t comment. However, I’m so happy we have all the choices we do today!

SOO true. When I first started looking I was shocked at the prices of just the bow, no sight, no rest, nothing but the bow. I quickly decided I could not go top of the line, but these mid range bows are very impressive and a bit more easy on the wallet.

Did you try any of the mission bows?

Another thought would be to try and find a top of the line a year or two old. Lots of guys get new bows every year or so and sell the old one all set up for the cost of a new mid range bow.

I shot one last night when I shot the Hoyt agian. Very comperable to the Hoyt, very nice bow, but I did not like how the larger handle fit my hand.

PSE has my vote. I had a Fred Bear for 10 years and made the switch a couple of years ago. I bought it for the reason you mentioned about the handle. The smaller handle/grip of the PSE just felt better when I was holding it in my hand.

Just picked up my Mathews Creed. Big bucks but an awesome bow. Shot the Chill, Hoyt Spyder, a Bowtech and chose the Creed. All bows were great, I just liked the feel of the solid stop on this bow and its super smooth and quite. This bow has already made me a better shot!!.

I went with the Hoyt and am very pleased. It was sad to put the old bow away for the last time as it still kills at least 2 deer a year for me, but after 18 years the upgrade was necessary.
