    So,
With the rain passed and the conditions allowing me to hop up into a tree stand,,,, I asked my brother to put me in the stand he calls “The Oaks”

This is a beautiful location just off some real heavy thicket and a nice clover field. There are Big Old Oak Trees covering the hill side that just makes for some beautiful looking country side !!
And the deer like it too !!!

Set up in the stand I saw two does come out of the thicket , cross the road and into another batch of thick heavy cover.. Not 5 minutes after they crossed the trail a buck crossed at the same location… All three were there and gone before I could even get a bow pulled up.

Later at the bottom of the path I saw a nice looking Doe walk by into the thick cover. She quickly did a 180 and bolted.. Another young deer came from the same place and was making a warning blow.. This deer was challenging what ever was in the thick cover. As quickly as this all started the young deer was off in another direction and then I got a quick glimpse of what all the fuss was about… A Bob Cat was on the trail of this young deer.

There were no beer shot this afternoon but there was a ton of excitement !! I have a video of this including the bob cat.. I will see if I can get it uploaded and put the video here..

That’s your first mistake. Nothing like a cold beer in the deer stand.

Sounds like you had an awesome sit!

    Thanks Steve !!!

The video I have is from my cell… not top quality by any means.. I uploaded it to youtube… it all happens within the first 24 seconds..

first you will see the tail of the young deer in the middle of the screen, then at the 23-24 second mark, in the upper left hand corner you will see the bob cat cut across a small opening by the log…

It was clear to the eye, live when I say it.. but the cell video doesn’t do it justice… I was pretty cool to be there..

Once you see my finger come into the shot.. I try zooming in and the picture gets much worse and all there is after that is some blow noises coming from that deer and another one behind me.
