With less than 2 weeks to the colorado elk opener, any suggestions for things to look at on my bow. I shoot a mathews outback. It probably 8 years old. The string looks fine, and everything seems in order. I would hate to get out there an have something simple make me lose a day in the woods. Any ideas help. I may take it to a shop and see what they say. If I sound a little nutty it probably rocky mountain elk fever…

one thing that you may want to make sure is to have a extra set of cables and string along on the hunt.. More than likely you will be just fine but if something were to happen to one of them your hunt would be a spendy hike in the woods!!

if you had to change one of these out in the field you can do so by taking your alen set with you smply screw out the limb screws 4 turns at a time until the string comes loose.. I take my bow compleatly apart anytime im flying cuz it can fit in my hunting pack this way!! put it all back together when i reach my hunting destination couple shots and your good to go!!!!

    good luck!!
