I am in the market for a new bow and I currently shoot an old matthews Sq2 and the bow shoots nice but is old and slow. My son just got a hoyt vector and loves it and I am torn between the matthews z7 extreme and the hoyt vector I would love to hear from you guys about your thoughts

Shoot them both and whatever one feels the best is the one to buy.

I am partial to Mathews but the next time I am in a market for a bow, I will be shoots lots of different brands. I wouldn’t overlook G5 prime, Bowtech, Elite, Mission, etc…..

I shot both bows and I have to say that both bows are very smooth. and are very close in speed. I did like the matthews better because there is less vibration after the shot and it is only 28″ axle to axle. both very nice bows but I am going with the z7 unless someone has had problems with one that I need to know about but both are priced the same. this is my first NEW bow and I have been bow hunting for 25 years so its a big decision.

Both are great bows. Have heard great thinks about the entire Z7 line (I shoot a Reezen, and the Z7 has all of the fixes that I dont like about my Reezen). I have been a Mathews shooter for 15yrs now and almost made the switch to a Hoyt Carbon Element only because a great deal presented itself and I am comfortable shooting both. Nevertheless, my recent food plot purchases that were made “without permission” have put a hamper on the thoughts of a new bow.

Shoot what feels best to you, you cant go wrong with either one, IMO.

I did shoot the carbon element and besides the fact that it is out of my price range I felt better with the z7 extreme. There is virtually no difference in ibo fps and I like how short the mathews is. I thought there was more vibration in the hoyts compared to the mathews also. I don’t want this to turn into whats the better line contest just wanted some opinions and everyone has been great. I have made up my mind and all is good thanks guys

I did , and you would puke in a bucket if you knew what one was offered to me for. Even on my birthday yesterday I couldnt convince her to return the steaks, wine, and other irreversable calories that were provided which would have substituted about half of the difference in price for the upgrade.

Couldnt go wrong wither way Holliday. Good problem to have.

Now you got me thinking again G! I better go upstairs and try another avenue….Stay Tuned…
