    1.1A bill for an act
    1.2relating to game and fish; allowing persons age 55 or older to hunt with a
    1.3crossbow;amending Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 97B.035, subdivision 1.
    1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

    1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2010, section 97B.035, subdivision 1, is amended to read:
    1.6 Subdivision 1. Hunting with bows released by mechanical devices. (a) A person
    1.7may not hunt with a bow drawn, held, or released by a mechanical device, except with
    1.8a disabled hunter permit issued under section 97B.106 or as provided in paragraph
    1.9paragraphs (b) and (c).
    1.10(b) A person may use a mechanical device attached to the bowstring if the person’s
    1.11own strength draws, holds, and releases the bowstring.
    1.12(c) A person age 55 or older may hunt with a bow drawn, held, and released by a
    1.13mechanical device.

    Does this mean my old man can go buy his crossbow and hunt without getting a physical? In 2010 we bought him a nice crossbow case and put it under the tree with the physical form inside of it. I don’t like doctors either but if all he has to do is buy one we might be able to get him out there when it is nice enough to truly hate mosquitos

    If this law passes! It has yet to make it out of the committee at this point.

    As long as it is taking to decide on a new vikings stadium maybe by the time I hit 55 (2 years away) they might get this passed into law.
