Does anyone have a used Youth Bow that they no longer need and want to sell. I want to get myself and daughter into archery this spring. Not knowing how well she will enjoy it, and if she will want to stay with it after more than a few outings. I don’t want to sink a lot of $ into a new setup. Not really sure what she needs in regards to Draw length or weight ( She is a 9 year old of average size ) if I end up going with a new bow – What brand of bow would you suggest? Would like to get her something decent and with a little room to grow with her. i have no problem spending a few extra $ down the road if it is something she likes and is willing to stay with.

Where are you located? I’d start going to a reputable archery shop to shoot a couple of bows to get an idea of your needs/likes. Once you have that, start scouring the craig’s list, calling local archery shops etc…

I’ve looked at the youth models at Cabelas several times. I ask several questions about the bows and unfortunately the staff haven’t been super knowledgable. So, I’ve been hesitant to invest. We have a new shop in the area now, I’m extremely pumped to have some subject matter experts to help me.

My 11 year old son just bought a Mission Craze, and he absolutely loves it. The Craze adjusts from 19 to 30″ and from 15 to 70 lbs. Retail price is $299 for the bow only. Good luck with your search.

Anything in the mathews mission line would work well for her. They are not the easiest thing to find used because they are highly adjustable and work for so many people. I would recommend schaefers pro shop to anyone in the state but they are probably the closest shop to you anyways! Good luck shopping , should be fun !

I started Olivia out with a Parker “Buck-Shot” Very kid friendly and very adjustable. Perfect bow for simple adjusting every time she hit another growth spurt. She’s deadly with it out past 40 yrds. She’s been talking about upgrading into a Mathews this year. If she wants to sell it, I’ll shoot you a pm with more details
