Bear hunt in 3wks and my broadheads are all shooting left by about 6-8″. Field tips are right on the money….what do I do. Im shooting Slick Trick Magnums and Thunderheads. Is it something with my bow, with me, or the broad heads? Why the discrepancy?

get somewhere and paper tune your L to R is off. More noticeable with broadheads. easily fixed

It’s typical to not have your fixed blade heads fly like your field tips. You can move your sight to the left but since you have some time i would maybe go to an archery shop and shoot it with them and see what they say

No reason you can’t get your bhead’s and fp’s to shoot the same if your arrows are spined right. Sound’s like you have some tuning issues. Like everyone else suggested, get to a good shop to help you out.

With broadheads now days it is more typical to have them fly the same as a field point than not. I agree tuning issue.
    Good luck !

sounds to me more like the arrow-broad head combination needs the tuning. I have a close friend that is a pro archer, we were just talking about paper tuning the other day. and he told me all paper tuning shows is you are torquing your bow.

If you grip your bow, you are torqueing it. I do not grip my bow, therefore no torque. If you want to see torque, ask your pro buddy if he has a laser you can put on your bow, then pull back and watch the red dot go back and forth, as you grip your bow. Paper tuning will show you arrow flight stability…. period. Whether it is from torque or from a mis aligned arrow rest or interference.

I would say adjust your rest not your pin.

THanks for the help!!!! Moved my rest an 1/8″ to the right and I’m back in business. You saved me a few $$ from the pro shop. Bring on the Bears!

Good deal Did you get it right away … or did you have to move it a bunch of times…

A little dumb luck was on my side…I moved the rest once and was shooting great. It’s great to have confidence back on your side before a big hunt. I really don’t want to take a bear with a firearm, but I will if necessary. Hopefully some pics to follow in 3 wks.

Good luck on the bruin hunting.

It’s one thing to take one with a gun but much more thrilling with the bow.
