Spent some time shooting tonight with my BIL. Couldn’t hold a group to save my life, plus most shots were somewhere to the left and usualy high. After many shots, I was getting really ticked off because I have been able to shoot really nice groups out to 30 and 40 yards every time I have shot. After about 30 mins and coming up no explanation , I finally looked down and noticed that I had buckled by release on my wrist one notch looser than normal which was allowing it to come forward farther on my wrist. Made the change and groups were back to 6 shots well within a 3.5 inch bullseye at 30..

That is the exact reason I shoot a buckle release over a Velcro. Consistency

Good to hear you have it back on track!

Buckle releases all the way over here!

I’ve also found it helpful if to mark which hole you use for both with gloves on and without gloves on for added consistency.

Buckle releases have so many more advantages than velcro! I have to make sure mine is loose enough too otherwise it’s awkward on my wrist! Good thing you were able to solve your problem

Something else we should consider his how your release fits with your extra clothing, gloves etc…. We all practice right now with T-shirts. Won’t be long and a jacket will be needed in the stand.
