Laperriere was quoted in yesterdays paper that he wants no part of the 6′-7″ 270# Boogaard. Jacques has last change so he might not have a choice. Fedoruk should also take a run at Laperriere. By avoiding the Wild enforcer, who ever it will be, and thus not “answering the bell” Laperriere puts bullseyes square on Sackic, Forsbeg, Stastny. There is a code.

I am interested in seeing what the lineup card would be. Even with his new lineup, Lemaire seems to play it soft until his hand is forced. We shall see. I don’t think there will be any retribution, but plenty of fireworks through out the game. The fact is, the Avs are soft. We’ll see if they suite up Parker. No retribution, but something will happen when Simon or Boogie lay someone out.

Should Laperriere be on the starting line what hits the Ice 1st? The puck? Or boogards gloves?

Maybe he should have thought about that with his 2 brain cells he has before he swung @ Gabby.

In Rochester what is it on, with charter? I heard on the radio the game is on VS. but 45 is also carrying the game, and since 45 has it, VS will be blacked out…what that means is no HD for most of us, and if you live in the Charter cable area we don’t get 45 what gives? so we don’t get to watch at all? I looked at the VS schedule and it doesn’t list the Wild…

Respect?? Sounds like more woosy to me. Run to the bench and let the big brother cover for you.

Just kidding wild fans. I don’t get hockey, never have. I saw a quick clip of the fight the other morning. I thought “Wow, didn’t know they let stars of team fight in the NHL.” Don’t get it, never will. Gabby earned a lot more RESPECT from me just getting in there and trying to fight.

We have to deal with this crap every year…what channel?? For directtv local users…either 45 or VS. Unfortunatly, fridays game we will miss the first period!! VS has to show the caps game in it’s entirety which starts at 6pm. They go into OT we are screwed!! Looks like the bar will get at least a few periods worth of business from me.

Kooty, I think the reasoning is that hockey is the only sport where fights are not immediately stopped. They are allowed to fight for a extended amount of time. With that said,, do you want your star player out there throwing and receiving punches? It is a unwritten rule that the star players rarely if ever fight and if you feel you have to throw down with them, well you know the rest. Call it being a coward or what ever you have to. I would personally rather see Boogaard sitting on the bench with a broken finger or worse.

Good thing you have the Wolves to watch.

Like I said, just doesn’t make sense to me. Why allow fights then if they are worried about the Gabby’s of the league?? Sorry, but the way I was raised you handle your own problems. Just old school mentality. Not saying it’s right, just they way I’m wired I guess.

BTW, found the game on channel 18. Wild look to be quite dominant from an untrained eye. Twins are routing. Who are the wolves??

I am a huge Avs fan, but I will tell you anyway. The score is 2-2 with three minutes left in the third. Great game so far. Go Avs!

By the way, Lappy backs down to very few guys ever. He has to be the smallest “fighter” in the league to answers the bell nearly every time. There is a difference between being tough and being stupid. Boogard has six inches and 75lbs on him.

    Huh?

Are we talking about the tuck tail move by “lappy” Tough or stupid to take shots a gaborik…we know “lappys” not tough…must be stupid!

Real tough guy to take shots at the smallest skilled guy on the ice but not quite tough enough to man up and drop the gloves with a enforcer?? If he’s a “fighter”…fight! He was running for the hills before the game even started. Where I come from they call that Chicken #$@!!!

Quit whining about Gaborik getting hit. He was throwing punches himself. No different than than your guys running Forsberg the entire game Sunday afternoon. By the way, is this your first playoffs you’ve ever seen. Guys aren’t going to just drop the gloves in playoff games.
