Quest Bows

In the market for a new bow on a budget…$500 to $600 set up. Took notice of the newest models from Quest (made by G5) and I like what I see. Visited my local archery shop and looked it over, didn’t have the time to shoot it yet though. It appears to be a quality built piece of equipment. Can anyone here give me any feedback on them? Do you have one, or know someone who does? Is it as quiet and smooth as it looks like it should be? I will definately shoot anything I am interested in before purchasing. However anything should be an upgrade to what I currently shoot!

Qwest bows are a real sleeper. Nice shooting and very quiet. I love what they have done with them this year. Like you have stated, take each bow you are interested in and shoot them all side by side if possible. Do not think you will be dissapointed in Qwest.

I agree, FIGHTING SIOUX forever, sadly it doesn’t look good at all.

Thanks for the input, maybe I will have time to shoot some today. I really like what I see in Quest though. side by side with other comparable bows it is noticeably lighter. I really like the solid machined riser blocks as well. A lot of nice features on a budget. Strings and cables are of nice quality as well. With my short arms, it sure seems to fit me well. I am excited to do some shooting and comparing to see what I like.

Also, I suppose I should update my location!! Haven’t lived in Grand Forks for nearly two years!

You’ll like the Quest bows. The local shop here has one thaat the rep left there and is a shop only bow. The thing is used and abused and is quiet as heck. I’ve even seen it dropped and pick up looked over and shot right way no problem.

You know, you are probably right, the bison hockey team could probably take the Sioux any day…

It would be a great rivalry if the two schools could work their way into the same conferences in a few sports…..

BTW, thanks for the input on the original question

OH you are just a young pup. When I went to school there (NDSU) in the early Nineties, they were in the same conference it made for some great footbal games & wrestling matches! I loved that rivalry!

I know….it was a great rivalry…would love to see it again, I think it would be great for Fargo/Grand Forks!

I spose I better change my location so you guys stop harrasing me! Then, I better go out and get the new Bow bought so I can report back how it shoots!

I see you changed your location. Just got back from a night of bowfishing just outside of Perham.
