SCHAFFER SIGHTS??

I’m trying to figure out what to use my $50 Schaffer gift certificate on. (Thanks IDO photo/story contest! )

Any of you guys use their sights?

I’m thinking about getting the Backwoods model… I currently shoot a HHA sight that is fairly similar looking, minus one semi-broken fiber optic… Still useable, but will make a nice backup for a new Schaffer sight.

    Any comments, thoughts, reviews?

Their 8 pin sight looks awesome, but I’m a little partial to the fiber optic pins, and 4 pins is just the right number for me.

Anyone use the integrated light system? Any comments on the pivot lock attachment system??

    Thanks!

I’m shooting the Opposition and I love it! I has greatly improved my groups, and it’s bullet proof. A little spendy, but well worth IMO. I was looking for a sight to last a long time, and I think I found it.

I just ordered a new z7 from schaffer this week and will be putting their 6 pin sight on it when it comes in. I spent a bit of time checking it out and it seems great. Being able to take it off is not a big concern for me but the fact that it is longer makes sense for better shooting. The lighting system seems like it will stand the test of time as well as long as that battery holder doesn’t ever fall out. I’ll give you a better answer in a couple weeks after I have looked through it at the range.

    Hey,
I used the Oppostion sight 4 pin last year on my Reezen
and I think it’s awesome. I also got mine in Lost Camo and I used the integrated light system and I think that really
helps on making those pins extremely bright.

And HHA’s don’t need a light, they are as bright as one needs right out of the box.

And if you shoot 3-d and spots in the winter the except a lense on them too.

I find my Schaffer sight pins light enough to take me past legal shooting and until I can not see through my peep anyways!

I have a 5 pin Opposition model that John put on when I wanted another pin! That Opposition sight has really tightened up my long range groups and greatly increased my confidence on longer shots. To me that is worth every penny!

I have been shooting my opposition 6 pin for about three weeks now and just love it. It seems like it is literally unbreakable and like Rob said it has really tightened up my long range groups. Not where they need to be by september but they are not bad. This will probably be the longest wait for september I will ever have.

whittsend, what did you end up getting?

Todders, how are you liking the site now?

    How about that Z7?

Ended up keeping the same HHA sight, thanks to the tips on this thread that they replace the fiber optics for no charge. (lifetime warranty).. Nice!

I did end up with a nice bow sling, though, courtesy of IDO/Schaffer… Good deal!
