This was Mathew’s New Bow for this past season. Bare Bones Brand New this thing retailed at like $869.00 I believe. I myself unless I know the guy I do not like to buy a used bow from someone as I’m not sure how it was taken care of or at the least be a little weary of it and see if the warranty’s carry over. Just my $.02
December 15, 2009 at 5:45 pm #72407Sounds like a decent price, but if I’m gonna shell out that kinda cash, I’d like to know I’ve got a warranty and a great pro shop to help me. Check out Schaeffer Archery, a awesome group of guys!
December 15, 2009 at 10:09 pm #72420It was last years bow. I think it is an OK price. I think if you wait a few more months you could get one for around that price completely set up. I believe warranty is only good for the original owner.

The reason we worked out an IDO Sponsorhip with Schaffer Performance Archery is because they provide excellent customer service along with a competitive price. Personally, I started purchasing bows from them over 9 years ago for this very reason. They also have a high speed video camera (very expensive piece of equipment) that allows them to verify if your bow is properly tuned and if necessary they can make fine tune adustments. This video technology is amazing and you can actually see the flexing of your arrow and see if your arrow rest is dropping away properly and at the right time. I believe they are the only Pro Shop in the country that utilizes this type of technology.
If you have further questions on what Schaffer does for IDO Hunting members or if you have questions on their prices, please feel free to send me a PM or an email and I will be happy to assist.
January 2, 2010 at 3:01 pm #74331It’s hard to go wrong with a shop that carries such a high standard due to the continued responses here on this site. Pro-shops with this type of a standard can be hard to find across the country and are highly looked up to. These types of shops are very open minded and will listen, they focus on what the customer is trying to achieve versus their own goals as a retailer.
As far as the Reezen it’s a good bow, but if possible try shooting a Z7 because for the money, give or take you can upgrade to a new bow and the Z7 is a very smooth bow to draw back or let down if a buck holds up on you.
The warranty only applies to the original owner on the Mathews line as well, even though you may never need to utilize this it’s always possible for any mechanical devise to fail.
