Wax em is about all you can do. Make sure if you hunt in the rain to bring it inside to dry out and then wax it. Change em when you have any doubt.

Do you store your bow in the house or outbuilding ? I leave mine in the garage and keep it waxed. If your keeping in a climate/humidity controlled area, if the humidity is below 40%, drying out will take place at a faster rate, than say if its above 50%. Wax is cheap, I go through a stick every 3 years….

Get rid of the wax and get Scorpion Venom Bow String Fluid. And Scorpion Venom Bow String Cleaner.

Not saying it doesn’t work. I’m saying it works better. Being it’s a liquid it soaks through your string better and keeps them water proof and keeps dirt from getting in your string fibers. Try it out you’ll love it and your strings will have a little longer life.

I know… I never heard of it ???? If it’s better than wax… then I will HAVE TO HAVE IT !!! What I don’t like about wax, is the build up in the cams…. I wasn’t slamming it, I actually googled it to find out more…. Thanks for the name of it

No problem Big G! I was just as skeptical as you when I was told of it. I wouldn’t touch it until one of the guys at the archery club up here I shoot league with let me try his and I liked it. So when I got new strings put on a put it on and its been working great since. And like you said I don’t have to worry about the wax build up either which is just another plus.
