I shot a wayyyy old bear for quite a few years starting at about age 14, then got into one of the older wood handled Brownings, then up to a High Country Ultra Force, and now a Mathews Reezen 6.5. I tend to get alot of years out of my bows as I get comfortable with their abilities and limitations. Switching every year, even every other, is something I’m not sure I could do.

2 for myself but my 10 year old son shoots a browning something. also have a Genesis that my 6 year old is learning with. Love the genesis, man is that just a FUN bow. lol

    My Bows:

    1)golden eagle something heavy, slow.

    2)Mathews MQ32 short, light, accurate.

not sure what to get next… keep the MQ32 and get a recurve most likely.

My very first bow was a red fiber glass recurve that I got for my birthday from my parents. My first Compound I bought used from a friend last fall a 2007 Mathew’s Switchback XT. I love it and hope to kill my first deer ever with it this fall. Other than that I’m looking at new bows a lot and got it down to two and am saving for a new one.

1st Pearson – not sure which model – it was black with grey maple leaf shapes for camo

2nd Martin – again not sure of the model but a nice shooting bow

3rd PSE Mini G – never did like it, a good lesson learned though, shoot it before you buy it

Now – Reflex Buckskin – absolutely love it
