I finally decided to blow 20 bucks, here’s what I think so far.

GOOD- The magnet activation is prett cool, easy on, easy off.
-The nocks are well built, my arrows fly the same.
-Very bright, the 10 second flash mode is cool.

BAD- one nock is way brighter than the other.
    – Disposable, once they run out of battery life, they are junk.

These shots were at dusk, I guess they did ok, still on the fence.

Yes, the shots are at the butt, haven’t bought a new replacement core yet!

had a buddy put one in a doe sat night we found the arrow about 80 yards from the shot and the nock was off (unlit) i hear fire nocks are the best but they are 30 bucks a piece

Ya, the Firenocks are supposed to be the best, just can’t see dropping the money yet. I think I’ll add a drop of glue to my arrows before the season.

I pulled the back half of my arrow from the left front chest cavity, with my Lumi-nok still lit, from my kill last week, about 1 hour after it expired

Thanks Brian for you tracer nock product review. I believe the more we try them, the better feedback we can provide for other IDO hunters. Personally, I’ve had good luck with Tracer nocks.

I’ve had pretty good luck w/ the Easton Tracers… just turned on the 4 I had from last year and aired them out at 60 yds right at dusk. Looked like flares coming out of the bow… pretty cool.

Thanks for your input BP. I like the Tracer Nocks and have been using them for a few years now. The battery life is 90 Hours, so I have not ran one out yet. I like the ability to turn them off when I’m practicing or not using them. They have made improvments over the last few years that really have tweaked them pretty good. I also think if you are filming your hunt, a lighted nock is a must.

Brian, when they work, they work great. I have bought several packages of the tracers, and after a few hunts with them, only about 1/2 continue to work. Had issues when the temps dropped below freezing too. Rob and I talked about these issues in depth in a past post as well. I will continue to shoot them, but hoping they can manufacture a more reliable nock because I like the design.

Same results for me too. Half the nocks would work perfect where a few quit working all together. JMO

The monster buck shot this weekend had a lighted nock, not sure what kind but you could see it from a long way off.

Glad to get some more info on these as i have just purchased a pack,i idon’t konw if i like the rattle they make if you bump something i shoot with my quiver off so i don’t worry about the ones on it,also i might suggest getting an extra magnent as i don’t think the velcro holds very well at least on mine, also i’ve had bad luck with the adheasive not staying on the bow with arrow rests etc. I have already got myself a spare mag. & velcro. What i have been doing is taking my mag. off until i’m in the stand. I’ve used lumanocks and shot them a few times and now they don’t stay in the arrow where i’d trust them in the field i’m going to apply some JB weld and sand it down to get a good snug fit. Can’t wait to shoot the Tracers at a deer, last year my new unused Lumanock popped out of the arrow on impact when i shot my bear
