Is the Rage 2 blade a good choice for bear? What kind of blood trail and penetration have people seen with them on bears or is there something else that others have found to work better? I also plan on going after Elk in a couple years, same question. Thanks

    Welcome to iDoHunting.com onestout!

That is a great question and was debated here in the bear forum. The conclusion was that it depends on who you talk to. Each hunter.outfiiter have their preferences. I know a die hard bear guy that uses them and took down a 425 lb bear last year and is using them agian this year. I have never shot a bear with one, but I would not hesitate to use a Rage 3 Blade on a bear.

isn’t this site linked to ido fishing? I used my same login but it has me as a new member and starts my “bucks” over?

onestout and others. iDoHunting.com and iDoFishing.com are both operated under In-Depth Outdoors. If you were a member on the fishing site before the Hunting side was created, things were transferred over (info, fish bucks, # posts, etc). However, they run under the same name but kind of set up as two separate sites both running under the In-Depth Outdoors umbrella. I hope this clears some things up!

Welcome to the “cooler” side of IDO.

BETWEEN MY BUDDY BEN AND I WE HAVE SHOT SEVERAL DOES OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS WITH THE RAGE 2 BLADE AND THAT PIC POSTED IS DEFINETLY A COMMON SIGHT, THEY ARE AWESOME. AT THIS POINT I DONT SEE MYSELF EVER SWITCHING. IVE NEVER SHOT THE THREE BLADE HAD A BUDDY THAT HAD SOME SORT OF PROBLEM WITH HIS THREE BLADE AND SWITCHED TO THE TWO BLADE. I ALSO SHOT A 350 LB HOG TWO YEARS AGO AND IT WENT RIGHT THROUGH. THEY ARE MUCH BETTER THAN THE GRIM REAPERS G
