i bought this reel right when it first came out. i hated it, took it back and got another fuego. i hated the twitchen bar, and found i could do alot more with just the rod tip. try it if you want, but i would spend the extra 30 bucks and get a feugo, or the extra 50 and get a zillion. the curado is a much better reel for 200 dollars than the viento.

I use the Viento for top water frog action. That jig bar just makes that scum frog bob up and down, and the bass love it. I have a Rick Clund reel (blue in color) form BPS, and it works great for jig fishing/flipping. Along with a med/heavy action St.Croix rod.

I’ve seen Deam Rojas using them with Kermit the Frog. It looked like it gave it pretty good action. The twitching button moves the spool 1/4 turn per twitch. I don’t own one, but would agree that for a few dollars more the Fuego or Zillion.

I’ve upgraded most of my reels to Zillions. The Fuego and Sol are nice. The option that sold my was how all the adjustments click. Without the click when you try to loosen or tighten the spool and you want to barely move it it’s hard to tell if you move it or not. Well with the Zillion you can do a couple click up or down. When you cast you know to adjust a click up or down and your set. The drag does the same thing. It might cost a little more but for me the new features and added quality was well worth it.

I was able to accomplish this feat a couple years ago, but havent been able to replicate it yet. I am good at breaking nocks on my arrow though..

I shot indoor NFAA tournaments for many years and probably shot a doz Robin Hoods…none on purpose
What the japanese FITA shooter did there was to shoot a thin Hyperspeed shaft within a “fat” shaft with the nock removed…I.E. He did that “on purpose” for the camera!
Pretty incredible…even at fairly close range…

I have broken my fair share of vanes and nocks but have only one true robin hood to my credit. Of course I got mine after the Misses shot for 2 months and got hers.

I’m with Mike. I’ve got 2 in my life.
Too expensive to shoot those these days. I never shoot more than 2 to 3 arrows per target – just to avoid the possible added arrow costs.

2 or 3 in my life. zero would be better. PI$$ES me off each time it has happened, a waste of a good arrow.
