Has anyone tried the accunock arrow nock? If so, what are your thoughts? It’s called “the world’s only drop away nock”. The concept looks pretty interesting. Here’s some info. off of their website:
What is an Accunock?
A press fit arrow nock designed to automatically release from the string when fired from any bow. Allowing for a drag free and consistent release with every shot requiring no modification of the bow, arrows, or string.
Accunock Highlights:
Increases Arrow Speed
Improves Accuracy
Reduces Noise and Vibration
Reduces String Serving Wear
Allows A Positive Hold To String
All from a simple, logical design leveraging the mechanical force present during every shot.
Improves Accuracy:
Traditional nocks cause a plucking of the string upon release which redirects the back of the arrow at the instant that it leaves the bow, greatly changing the arrow flight.
Reduces String Serving Wear:
The tabs on the Accunock hold the arrow on the string, however during release the tabs are pushed open, and the tabs never make contact with the serving string.
Faster Arrow Speed:
Since the tabs never make contact with the string, and there is no longer a plucking upon release, there is also no friction between the string, and the nock. It’s as if the nock has dropped away.
Positive Hold to String:
Accunock’s innovative design accomplishes two things simultaneously. The first is that the nock is securely held to the string by the pinch of the tabs, and the second is that the tabs open on their own at the moment the arrow is fired. Without the need for modifications to the bow or the arrows. And the Accunock is as simple to use as average nocks.
