If not you may want to view this fascinating slow motion video:

    Go to: http://www.limbsaver.com

Click on “High Speed Slow Motion Videos” in the Video Center

    Then click on “Archery”

Then click on “Nock Travel 3/27/09”

Cool video Brad, thanks! There is really no reason NOT to use one. Eliminates string torque from your release too.

Gotta use an eliminator button under the arrow nock if you aren’t using a loop! lol

String loop here Another nice advantage is it saves your $$$$ spendy string serving, loops are pretty inexpensive

Thats exactly what I was thinking, you need that eliminator button under that nock. I shoot without one(string loop) for a couple of reasons. I have a short draw, by adding a loop it shortens my power stroke and the added weight on the string combined slows my arrow losing ke. I also like to keep it simple. With that said if I had a longer draw I would maybe consider that option. Thats a good video Brad, shows either way you have to be setup correctly.

I shoot a loop. Just for the fact it helps with a true arrow flight. I also do not want anthing pinching or twisting my sring. You will not find a nock on any of my bows. Its also very important if you shoot a release and is easier on your servings .

i dont shoot one because when they set up my draw length, they set it long so i could grow into the bow and if they would have added the string loop, it would have been way too long.

That was a cool video! I have only been shooting for 5 years, but I have always used the D loop. I’m glad that I do, more now than ever.
