Just goes back to haveing certain things on a line , spiners and such to make a treble legal ???? if that makes sense.

Absolutely it does. Scott and I rig a spinner and bead on all our tip ups even if we’re not using a treble hook. When we do want to use a treble we can do so without an issues and we don’t have to re-rig.

Well, I did my part to help stimulate the economy, my new Hoyt Alphamax should be here in a few weeks! I want to tip my cap to the guys at Schaffer once again, nothing but first class people! I must have put 2000 arrows through the Alphamax and the Reezen the last few months trying to decide which one I liked best. At one point I even decided to wait til next year, but that didn’t last long. I ordered the camo limbs with black riser, had it not been for D-Cox buying my bow, I’d be shooting already! Can’t wait!!

This is not my bow, but this is what it will look like.

Congrats on the new bow BP. I’m glad to hear the boys at Schaffers did you right again.

I need to get down there to get a new Schaffer drop away rest on my Mathews before WI Turkey seaosn is here for me.

I’m bow-shopping myself, any strong opinions why the Reezen didn’t make the cut, or was it right in there for you?

The Reezen was right there too. I felt like the Reezen was a little top heavy and the draw cycle had a noticable bump before the valley. It was really a horse a piece though. A little trick I learned was to shoot the bows blindfolded and see which one feels right to you. The AM is honestly the first bow in a long time that I was totally happy with, and I’ve tried em all. I truly believe this is Hoyt’s best bow in years, can’t wait to get her home.

Here’s why I give Schaffer my business. The owner John, offered to swap out the cams for me free of charge on my Mission because the new owner has a longer draw than myself, didn’t cost me a thing! One call to Schaffer and my problem was solved. Excellent customer service, no haggling, no pressure put on you. If you are in the market for a new bow, you HAVE to give Schaffer a shot.

    Brian:

I’ll echo your comments about Schaffer, and after hearing your experiences and others, as well my personal experiences with them, it’s where I’m planning to buy my next bow.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been into Schaffer, almost 3 years now. One of the cables on my bow had rubbed against a limb-supressor that slipped down between a split limb bow I had at the time, and was becoming dangerous. Lo-and-behold, the size was a weird one, and no one around had it in stock. However, they went above and beyond the call of duty in ordering it in and getting it installed. Of course, it was just before deer season and I’m sure they had piles of bows to work on. From what I remember, they didn’t bat an eye, and had it installed same day as they received it in.

I’ll never hold a company/store responsible for my lack of planning and preparation, but when someone goes above and beyond the call of duty to keep me in the game and get me back out there ASAP, I don’t forget it.

Thanks Schaffer, I’ll be in this summer!

Good luck with the new purchase Joel! I often wonder if it’s a curse or a blessing to live only 2 miles from Schaffer. My wife and pocketbook say curse…..

2 miles, tough stuff. At least I know who to go to now when they’re closed.

Just got back from Schaffer, and lo and behold Jason had my new AM all dressed up and ready to rock. Jon took me in the back and showed me the slow motion camera as Jason shot my bow, cool stuff! She’s tuned perfectly and shooting tacks(even from me). I couldn’t be happier with this setup so far.

My hat goes off to Schaffer Archery, Jon and Jason particularily. Not many places leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling anymore, these guys know how to run a business! Hopefully I hold onto this one for awhile, daddy needs a boat!

I just added the Schaffer Opposition sight to my AM. For years I’ve shot a HHA sigle pin and have loved it. I, like a lot of people, sometimes have a problem with canting my bow from left or right, but with the new sights horizontal field of view, I’m keeping my bow straight. I also like the opposing pins, easy to remember what’s what! If you’re in the market for a new sight, check it out!
