They come standard on all Mathew’s Bows. I put another one on my Switchback XT when I needed a new one. They work great for me.

So its more of a mathew’s thing. So there really isn’t anything better than a Zebra String? I just don’t know alot about whats out there I was wondering if anyone would have an idea of what other strings are out there.

There are a lot o different string out there. Just depends on what you like. I go with what has worked for me. I also like Buck Nasty customs strings too.

Winners Choice or Vapor Trail would be among my favorite bow strings. In fact, I am picking up my brand new Mathews Reezen tomorrow and I am changing out the Zebra that comes on it for a Vapor Trail. These two strings have less stretch over time, absolutely no twisting, and seem to be a little hardier for the guys that work on them a lot or abuse them as I do. The Winners Choice are great also but be prepared to spend about $140 or so for a string and cable. I believe you can get the vapor trail string/cable for around $70. I used to like Zebra stings until they switched to the new style Zebra string that they come with now, I seem to have twisting problems with my peep and deserving around the cams. I am sure not the norm but enough for me to justify the switch. I have been through 1/2 dozen Mathews bows with Zebras.

Web makes a great point about the serving by the cams. Mine is starting to do that. I just noticed it today

VaporTrail Strings and Cables are made in Ham Lake MN. And they are great strings and cable. Plus you’re supporting local business.
