So who is heading out for a final push tomorrow and this week? Tomorrow evening will most likely be my last time out. Very excited to hit some prime property that hasn’t been touched since the last weekend of rifle. AND< one of very few standing corn fields is on this property. Hopefully I will be able to post pics of something brown.

I think tonite was my last night, saw one doe but of course the wind was wrong for her to come any closer to me. Great night to finish off the season, froze my buns off, watched part of huricane kartina blow through, and watched mother nature show her beauty by showing the sun for a bit right before dark. I HATE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!! only 9 months to go…..

Went out last night and sat on the corn field that I mentioned. A buddy of mine was only 100 yards down the line. I ended up spotting 2 deer just before dark but too far to call in or shoot. This place was ripped up pretty good and since we had snow 3 days before all of this was fairly new. I can only assume that they don’t venture out until late at this spot.. It was an awesome sit but a bit disapointing that there wasn’t more action.

Oh well, ONly 4 months to WALLEYE fishing!

Stuck my first deer of the year last night(28th) after a long holdout. Had about a dozen does and a small buck come by last night and tried to take 2, but a car hit a deer on the blacktop next to the property I hunt on and spooked the deer hanging out in the field.

First deer with a Rage broadhead and wow what a blood trail. I hit her pretty far back but she still only ran 50 yards and piled-up, I am now a believer.

    Lars welcome to the “Club”.

Tuesday night I head to SD for a late season Muley/Whitetail doe bow hunt @ Stacie’s Parents house. Oh yeah we are celebrating Xmas too. Just another trip to the Inlaws where I have to hunt in order to fit in. It’s tough visiting the inlaws. Her brothers and Dad have a late season rifle doe tags also. It should be a gooed week.

I finally got out in the stand on some public stuff Friday night and got busted by a doe just when she was entering my shooting lane. I’m not sure what happened but she pegged me and I did not even move.

Oh well, I can’t wait for Wednesday Evening.
