I have noticed a problem on my bow and was wondering if someone could help,
when the cable guide gets wet or it is colder out(20 degrees or less)I have notice it gets loud when I draw back, the plastic piece that holds the cables together on the guide seems to skips and squeek when i am drawing back, is there some type of lube or any other solution to this problem.

Iv’e never had the problem, but I have heard do not use any kind of wet lube (oil) I have heard to put some graphite on the guide. Maybe somebody else has another trick ????

Take it in to your local archery shop and have them take a look at it. It may not even cost you a thing for them to fix it. This way you know what the problem is and they should be able to take care of it for you!

There are a handful of aftermarket cable guide upgrades available – I’m happy with the Alpine Archery one I put on my bow this year. Pretty cheap solution.

    Just a thought.

first get some fine steel wool and polish up the cable guard. typicaly what make them stick and squeek is dirt and dust. after you polish up the guard take some rubbing alcohal and clean up the slide. this will usually take care of the problem. next is to buy a new slide if its worn out.
or string wax like pt said is a good short term fix
