I’m in the market for a new rangefinder. I’m thinking about the Nikon 440. Anybody got one that they love or care to chime in?

I have the Bushnell compact 800. It is OK it is really hard to range a deer at 150 yards or more. My next one will be a Leupold RX-3. It has 8 power. I think you need that when your target is out a ways.

I have the Nikon 440 Prostaff and absolutely love it!!!!!!!!!!! I have never had to change the batteries in it for 3 years Consistent yardage, scan mode, and very durable. I accidentally dropped it out of a stand and it hit the ladder going down a couple years ago I thought there would have been damage, but NOPE nothing wrong at all!!! I would HIGHLY recommend buying one

Do you want it to account for degree of angle?

I have the Nikon 440 and like it. However with my increased hunts out in the Dakotas I will be getitng the new NIKON Rifle Range Finder 550 which takes into acocunt angle of shot.
