Ok, I have seen a lot of older posts comparing the Marcum to the older gen 1 aqua-vu. But I am seriously torn here. I really would love to hear from people who have seen both side by side. Here are my breakdowns. Am I missing anything? I don’t want to start a war here. I have tried hard to find both of these units so I could see them side by side. Its been impossible for me to do that. I really would love to hear from people who have experience with both.
Aqua-Vu HD 10i Pro Gen2 (Pros)
125 ft. of cable (I want to go for lake trout occasionally…water that’s over 80 ft. deep)
The trolling fin and ability is cool, I could see me using this feature
Bigger Screen and supposedly brighter
Better configuration with the sun shade and its easier to unwind and wind the camera
Marcum LX-9L
Better quality picture (is it really that much better than the Gen 2?)
Has sonar built in
