Aqua-VU design flaw help

    I bought the Aqua-Vu Revolution. They put the threaded mounting hole on the top of the unit. I want to put this on a tripod on a bucket in my shack. Every tripod mount I have tried blocks the cover from opening. Im looking for any idea on how to mount this thing. Aqua-Vu screwed the pooch with this design. Anyone got a handy solution?

    I purchased one at the Ice Show in December and thought the same thing.
    There is a small extension in a plastic bag, also has the hand held strap etc.

    I didnt even notice that extension. That should help for my trip this week.
