The family and I will be staying in Appleton the first weekend of January for a wrestling tournament. Looking for suggestions on good supper clubs in the area that also make a good old-fashioned. Also, I would like to ice fish a partial day if the schedule allows and have no room to haul my gear up. Any suggestions for a guide would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Robbins in Oshkosh. Right off HWY 41. Coming from Appleton it is the first exit after crossing Butte des Morts bridge. Go west about 200 yards. Only about a 20 minute drive from Appleton. Good food, good drinks, good people behind the bar.

Downtown Appleton has some very good restaurants. A good Mexican, Italian, and Steakhouse. All within 2 blocks of each other. The steakhouse in the Radisson downtown, named after some Packer football coach or another, is top of the line, but you’ll also pay those prices. The Mexican and Italian spot are more reasonable. All three are on the main drag downtown.
