Hello, I hope everyone is having a great summer. I have 2 apple trees in my back yard that produce well, but one always seems to have branches that the leave die. It had spiders when we 1st bought the home and i sprayed and nursed it back to health. I don’t see any signs of infestation but am concerned for it and that im missing something.
Thank you for your advice in advance.

It looks like you need to do some heavy pruning. Apple trees need a lot of air flow to stay healthy and produce larger apples. Feb is the best time of year to prune them. You tube is a good source for pruning videos.

It could be any of a number of fungus or other diseases common in an apple trees. My best guess would be apple scab but there are a lot of different possibilities.

Personally I would try a general purpose fruit tree spray and treat the tree for several weeks in a row.

I’ve used this spray for a long time for both apples and grapes. It’s both a treatment for common diseases and for insects.
