That white stuff on the trunk and branches just showed up in the last 3 days.

Looks like apple powder mildew. Need to treat it so it doesn’t come back next year.

Sulfur, Topsin M, and Pristine are some of the fungicides that work. Google apple powder mildew and you’ll get a lot Of solutions. It needs multiple treatments to kill it, so plan accordingly

I did Google it Randy and that seems to attack leaves and fruit, this is one the trunk and branches, not the leaves.

Contact your county extension office. They should be able to give you additional info.

I was doing some searching. Look up wooly aphids. Does that look the same to you?

It’s called Powdery Mildew. Usually shows up after a heavy rain period. Shouldn’t cause an issue but you can treat it/prevent it, just do some research and figure out your best plan.

We use a fungicide called Kocide to treat powdery mildew in our pumpkin and squash fields. It will prevent the spread and control but not eliminate what is present.

    You nailed it Musky!
I cut the damn thing down this morning and relocated it.
