Apples were starting to fall so that was my sign to get busy. I processed 3 batches today and have more to work with tomorrow.

Nice work you need to change your title to something controversial so others will compete with there opinions! Good to see people taking the extra time to make it homemade.

Now grill yourself up some nice thick cut pork chops and serve with that apple sauce on the side! It looks very tasty!

Looks great! What variety of apples do you use? Do you can or freeze? FW uses Cortlands, heats with peel in the stock pot and gets pink applesauce. Nothing in it but apples and water (peel picked out) that she freezes in quart plastic containers. I am rationed, one container per month.

Gravenstein apples have some sentimental parts of my childhood and are also one of my favorite eating apples. Makes the best apple sauce.
