I just heard on the radio Black Lives Matter is taking the protest from the mall to the Airport. Wonder if they realize that if they step foot on the airport grounds they are subject to the TSA and their rules. Hope nobody is packing a unlicensed firearm or carrying a bit of pot on them. mrgreen

Love to see a terrorist charge dumped on the leadership. jester

Unfortunately I fear due to politics they will be released with a slap on the wrist. Feel bad for the people that just wanted to travel to see family for the Holidays.

There will be no slap on the wrist if TSA or Homeland Security gets them. applause

Mpls cops already have said they aren’t giving up the video (if there is any) until the internal investigation is finished. So, BLM is saying “we don’t care if you are guilty, give us the damn tapes”. Somebody please explain the logic in this.

If they do trespass on the airport grounds I would love to see them rounded up and “detained” in a cold airport hanger for a few hours waiting to be processed.

Check out this infuriating video from a short while ago. It doesnt even look/feel like a race thing. It seems more like a militant group thing. I dont get it.

Only thing I don’t get is if they are blocking traffic (which they clearly are) why aren’t they cuffed laying on the ground?

BTW, how proud the parents will be to see their baby boys and girls on the news tonight. smirk

Now they are talking about hitting all major airports in the country tomorrow. Start locking them up today, every single one and have the bail hearings on Monday. I’ll gladly pay my fair share to house them 4 days and nights in the county lockup.

I just read where they are dispersing after getting a warning from the police. They should not have gotten a warning. Now they know they can do it anyplace and anytime for a little while at least. This is not over.

As long as they are at the airport there should be a flight to Somalia they can board. They have it so bad here it must be better there.

Why are half the people not even black? My armchair psychological guess is they are trying too squash there inner prejudices.

Mike the saddest thing is some of these cowards bring their little kids with them. They can’t think far enough ahead to know where those kids will end up when they get arrested. Or, what happens to those kids if police and protesters start fighting.

I have a news flash for ’em………after thinking about this over night the cops won’t be giving warnings at the airports tomorrow.

Because most of them are rent-a-protesters. They have absolutely no connection to the cause.

Full disclosure. I did partake in the ’88 homecoming riot at St Cloud State. So I do know what it is like to be young, dumb and feel like a part of something significant, even though I had no idea what the point was. coffee

Bring out a foam truck and hose them down. The answer is simple and non-lethal. Todays temps and the worst to come of it might be some of these yaks get a good cold and have to stay indoors eating chicken soup. Anyone ask about it just explain that equipment needs checking out and today was the day and these stooges got in the way.

Though it’s more than likely they were not thinking, it also possible they were. The ‘human shield’ philosophy, ‘you can’t arrest me, what will happen to my children’. If they were arrested then it’s more media food to cry about the atrocities brought on the children by ‘the man’ after they were arrested. #1 argument tactic by people of that persuasion, create attacks around anything you can to avoid debating the actual issue, because they would lose that debate nearly every time. That’s the whole point of these protests anyway, for something to happen that they can use as fodder for more false outrage at the (percieved) establishment, has nothing to do with the actual issue they are protesting.

I’m constantly amazed at just how good Black Lives Matter is at repelling people from their cause and turning the sympathy and empathy of the general pubic into loathing. This group has actually managed to set their own cause back, rather than advancing it.

If they would put as much energy into other parts of their lives; education, working, raising a family, keeping a marriage together they may not need to protest.

Yesterday MPR had a noon program on about the issue. I wanted to throw up. I am all for protesting injustice but when you refuse to hold your self accountable for your actions: education, job training, family life. You have no reason to protest. This group lacks any real leadership. If you want change go on a ride along with your neighborhood PD. See the people they deal with

Exactly. The cops should go in and take the kids in one direction and the parents[?] in another and charge the parents with child endangerment. Since its an airport, hit them with a felony at federal level.

Incidently, the mention of “human shield” is a terrorist tactic. Using it, the shield, reminds me that our government has stated plainly that it will NOT negotiate with terrorists. That video with those kids in there implies exactly that, a shield using innocents and vulnerable children, is an act of terrorism at a in-country level. Treat these people exactly for what they represent. Why not round them up, tattoo a nice cross on the back of each hand and on the forehead and drop them off in Somalia?
