    going on a trip to Canada in july and thought that an app for lake maps would be good idea to have.what would be a good one thanks

    Get the Navionics Mobile app US and Canada for 14.99. You can preview the mapping online at the WebApp

    Be sure to click on the icon on the lower left for the SOnarChart layer of the lakes of interest.

    If you are traveling out of cell coverage you can download the lake to your phone (very little memory is used) then put your phone in airplane mode turn on your app and the internal GPS will track you.

    Make sure you preload whatever region you will be fishing before you get to Canada otherwise you might not have the data to pull it up and view the contours.
