Got another quad that needs some love and my regular machinist is too busy to take on any more jobs. Anyone here in the metro capable and willing to help a member out? It’s a v-twin, so two heads need to be freshened up and both jugs bored and honed +2mm. Heads will arrive with valves still in the head and all dirt/grime cleaned up.

I’ve had my best luck with Weaver auto parts. Brad is the head machinist has been doing it about as long as I have….too long.
Called the guy who rebuilds my shocks for me (DRH Specialty) in Hastings and he will be doing the work for me. Thanks for the info, however. Pulled the motor apart last night and found some nasty scoring from the timing chain and the rear head CLEARLY had valve seals letting copious amounts of oil through. The cylinders aren’t great either…

Yeah, Kawie again…Timing chains, oil/water pump chain, tensioners, chain guides, valve seals, exhaust valves, pistons, rings, pins and clips…got it apart on my workbench yesterday and will be sending the jugs and heads off next week…hoping to be back in business first week in June…with about 10 more ponies… 
Still like to ride with you at least once. Maybe this summer?

We’ll see how much riding I’ll be doing. Could probably sneak away for the day sometime this summer. Only trip planned is in August near BRF WI. Hoping to make it to Nemadji once or twice…
