Looking at the 7 foot in the Fury spinning series. The warranty looks great and that’s my price range. I will do wacky worming with it 95% of the time any positive/negative reviews? I’m getting a little tired of the same few rod companies thought something outside the box would be better. I have smaller hands, like a split grip and not a broom stick handle gets hard on small hands after a long day. I have 2 Abu Venerates that I really like thought this might be close? Thanks

I use dobyns rods and so does my good fishing buddy, we love’em!!! I use the champion Xtreme series but my buddy has a couple fury’s and I’ve used those as well and I think the Xtreme series is equally comparable to a gloomis. Fury rods are more economical, and you still get a great feel, plenty of power and a great rod! Actually the fury series is a set of rods I recommended to my buddy as he was/is in the same market for a good quality rod that is more economical on price. Their customer service is really good too, I’ve broken 2 rods, (being dumb) and they sent me 2 new ones, nor problem. Paid deductible and they were shipping the same day….

Hope that helps in your decision. Good luck!!!

I also have a couple of Champion series spinning rods, nice weight and feel. I like them.
Have not used the Fury series or had to use their warranty services yet.

Take a look at the Kistler Helium III rods I will put them up against GLoomis NRX any day I own both.

I have Dobyns and Kistler… both great rods – but would give Kistler the edge in terms of crispness/sensitivity. Detecting bites with a sensitive rod is important when wacky worming…

I have a Fury 735 that I use for my heavy jigging/punching rod. It’s a baitcasting rod though so not sure how much my opinion will matter if you’re looking for a wacky rod. They are quality rods at that price point. Good sensitivity, and very stout from what I have experienced.

Hi, I have a Champion 7′ – 6″ that I use for NED rigging, finesse fishing. My go to rod. My St. Croix Avids, Legends, etc. sit while the Champion gets used all day long.
