I’m talking bladebaits like the old Silver Buddy blades or some of the newer ones out there now. Have the rattle in them. The last couple of years I’ve seen Tactical Bassin have a video on how effective they are in cold water. Never tried them but I think I might give it a go this year just to try.

Anyone use them here in MN? Thoughts?

Not in Minnesota but I use them here in Iowa. Once the water temps drop below 50 the blade bait bite can be hot. Just cast out and let it sink to the bottom, and fish it like a jig. Just lift and drop. You’ll feel the bait vibrate on the way up. I usually lift it and feel 4-6 vibrations and let it drop

I actually have a Do It mold and I make my own. Though I have bought some off of Amazon and they worked very nice. Though the hardware needs replaced with some good stuff. Josh Douglas has a good video out there if you google it. He’s fishing it on Mille Lacs.
