These water activated LED jigs look like a good option for a night bite. Pricey and backordered. Anyone try these yet?

I have one of each color but have yet to use them. I have a buddy who did good on crappies at night with the blue color however. Excited to try them out.

I have seen these online as well with numerous people posting some nice fish using them….(I take that with a grain of salt). They have my peaked my interest a bit as have those northland spoons with the glow sticks…..

I had the Northland glow sick lure fowl itself two times in a row on mille lacs. The treble wedges in-between the glow sticks and lure. I am only going to use them on a dead stick from now on.

I don’t know about the rules in MN or WI but I’m not sure these lures are legal in ND. I’m pretty sure we can’t use an artificial light source. I’ll have to look into it a little deeper but I think I saw something about that in the hand book.

There was a guy handing out samples of a similar jig at the ice show a number of years ago. As soon as it hit water the jig would light up. Take it out of the water for a couple minutes and the light went out. They were re-usable. I had a half dozen of them and tried them a few times but they were too large at that time for crappies so sunfish were out as well. I did find a few sauger using them out at Frontenac. I never did see the guy back at the ice show nor did I hear much the next year…..seems the interest died with the battery.
