Friday night was very slow for LS which normally pick up our baits through out the night. Channels and shovels kept us busy.
Cut bait was working just as well as crawlers for the first time in my boat this fall.
Not a mud puppy to be found at this time, but we did have a bunch of gibbles that we couldn’t hook. I wrote those off to small sheepshead because we did have a couple of those as well.
The larger of the shovenose sturgeon in the photos was 35″ with an 11″ girth. Longer then the MN or WI State record by a couple of inches but short of weight by a couple pounds.
Lots of fish but no river monsters this night.
