Anyone still targeting sturgeon?

the wind is supposed to lie down tonight and I was considering going out tonight for sturgeon. Haven’t seen anyone post in a while about sturgeon so I was wondering if anyone is still out targeting them. If so how has the bite been? Any information as always is appreciated. My cast net licence goes until the 30th so I’ll make sure to find some of those little buggers while I’m out.

Good luck fbrm! Should be nice and calm, even if it is a little crispy. How do you keep your bait from freezing in the boat? Or not a worry?

It’ll sit at 11.9 for long time. It’s the draw that brings it down but if I turn everything off it’ll be over 12.

Anyway fish are surprisingly busy today.
I’m about to run out of bait but put several nice channels in the boat along with 5 sturgeon.
    50″, 36# biggest.

Fish hitting in fast current today. Quite odd considering

Better spelling than most your texts! Lol

Gets in the 20’s and frozen braid is a PIA. I only flipped 3 reels over to 50# big game for the cold days.

Otherwise, I hate mono. Because of the snags and how it takes a lot of the abuse of the fight away.

I was thinking about how much fun you guys probably had casting braid constantly that morning. I figured you’d either blow out an eyelet or lose a lure.

    Vacation day today.

Already blew a few hours waiting for DMV to open, and then to find out the network for the whole state is down. Yay. So I blew money at FF, and am hooking up to the boat in just a few minutes.

    Looking for that 100#r
